If you’re like me, you can’t wait for New Line’s FINAL DESTINATION 3, which started filming last week in Vancouver, B.C..
The 3rd installment unites the creative team behind the first, as director James Wong, and writer Glen Morgan are on board- producing alongside Warren Zide and Craig Perry. If that doesn’t get you stoked, check out the synopsis for this go-round:
Six years after the events of FINAL DESTINATION, Wendy, a high school senior, has a premonition of a fatal amusement park accident involving herself and all her friends. When the premonition proves true, those who survive the accident are forced to deal with the repercussions of escaping their fate.
But fate is not so easily thwarted, and as Wendy and Kevin desperately try to interpret the clues that might save lives, one-by-one their friends meet fantastically gruesome ends.
Yep, you heard right- roller coaster accident. We can only hope the filmmakers live up to our imaginations on this one! Starring Ryan Merriman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, both fresh off of THE RING TWO (…er…). There’s still no word if Tony Todd will return for this one, but my money says he’s in.
So far no set date is slated for release, other than sometime 2006, but I smell February, as FD2 did very well with that late winter release. Here’s to rootin’ for the good guys to die imaginative deaths!
