Some of you may think we spend too much time on Uwe Boll movies – but the fact is there’s just so MANY of them that when news is slow there’s always a Bollrrific project to talk about.
I really don’t know what to say about this new IN THE NAME OF THE KING trailer – other than there are so many weird inflections going on within it I’m at a loss as to whether it’s supposed to be funny or not (best guess: it’s not). Everyone seems to be experimenting with their best gravel-voiced, weirdly-pitched accent of choice. And Mr. Trailer alternates between being British and… something else entirely. (Listen to the way he says “Claire Forlani”.)
It must be said that some of the visuals are not at all bad – this obviously had a decent-sized budget. If only it had someone at the helm who wasn’t preoccupied with thoughts of beating the shit out of his justified critics.
(If you are at Fantasia Fest on July 22, you’ll be able to actually lay eyes on this thing, which the trailer claims will be released “in theaters” on Dec. 5. I’ll believe it when I don’t see it)
