Vacancy clips a’plenty

Those snuff-film experts over at Bloody Disgusting have posted a bevy of clips from the Luke Wilson/Kate Beckinsale thriller VACANCY, which is proving to look pretty nifty. If you head over there, you’ll see a few scenes that seem to occur right before the shit hits the fan for our wholesome couple, including their run-ins with a very demented-looking Frank Whaley, who plays a hotel clerk that Norman Bates would get the heebie-jeebies from.

VACANCY certainly appears to be a little grimier than you average star-driven Hollywood thriller, and let’s hope it achieves its gritty potential, instead of just becoming another trite, tedious piece of mass-produced garbage that you wouldn’t feed to your neighbor’s obnoxious dog. It opens April 20.
