Vampire’s Assistant trlr

Hey, check out John C. Reilly and his wack-ass hairdo! You’ve got to admit, it does look pretty damn ridiculous. I sort of thought the same thing regarding the flick in which Reilly’s ‘do presides, THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT (formerly known as CIRQUE DU FREAK). Then, I watched the brand new trailer which has just been released. I was expecting to see another lame version of TWILIGHT (especially with the PG-13 rating). What I got instead, was Tim Burton’s version of HARRY POTTER! No, Mr. Burton did not make VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT. I was just trying to give you a good example of how the trailer looks. And in case you have yet to grasp my opinion, the thing freakin’ rocks!

What a fun, funny, wild, and yes, freaky little piece of genre candy this flick seems to be! John C. Reilly can truly do anything! This way out-there tale of a high schooler so sick of his boring, everyday existence that he’s willing to become a vampire and join a circus of literal freaks looks like such an enjoyable time, I’m hoping it will be popular enough to start a brand new series.

I honestly shouldn’t be too surprised at how great this looks, seeing as how it’s coming from genius Paul Weitz (AMERICAN PIE). The cast that joins Reilly includes Josh Hutcherson, Jessica Carlson, Ray Stevenson, Ken Watanabe, Orlando Jones, and Salma Hayek. The release date is October 23rd.
