One international flick that never really made it was the 2007 flick SHROOMS. Personally I had been interested in SHROOMS since I first heard about it and I actually gave this little guy a shot. Now I wasn’t blown away but I wasn’t exactly disappointed either… So you can consider me intrigued by the news coming at us today from Variety.
You see it seems Vertigo Films is planning on putting together a couple of low-budget 3D horror flicks in the near future. What flicks might these two new projects be? Well let me tell you: A NIGHT IN THE WOODS and SHROOMS 2. Now unfortunately we don’t have a lot of details for these new films but we do know that Richard Parry will be directing A NIGHT IN THE WOODS, which starts filming this October. As far as SHROOMS 2 goes all we know right now is that Vertigo and Ireland’s Teasure Entertainment are co-producing the feature, which is said to be in the early stages.
Now as of right now I could really care less about A NIGHT IN THE WOODS. What’s really catching my interest here is SHROOMS 2, but hey, maybe that’s just me. What do you guys say?
