The Hollywood Reporter stated today that writer Josh Olson, who adapted David Cronenberg’s A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, is up to adapt another comic flick this week for New Line Cinema.
This time around it’s the Japanese manga comic series MONSTER. Not only is he writing one script, but he’s also writing the sequel- I guess they feel this bitch is gonna make them lots of moola to already want a sequel.
So what’s it about?
A psychological thriller that tells the story of a young doctor who saves the life of a little boy only to find out a few years later that the life he saved was that of a brilliant killer. The doctor must track down the young killer and solve a larger conspiracy.
I must say, cool premise there folks! See, that’s why I’m not a doctor- I wouldn’t be able to live with my self if I kept a psycho who deserved to die alive. That, and I’m not that smart.
More on MONSTER as we hear it!
