Looks like we finally have a trailer for Gregory Hatanaka’s disturbing drama VIOLENT BLUE, about the unlikely convergence of the lives and obsessions of a group of strangers one L.A. summer. And you know what…if you thought the filmmaker’s prior work was outlandish (MAD COWGIRL, PAIN AND SUFFERING), you might wanna get down with this baby quick style! I mean, when you’ve got a woman caged up in a living room with a couple apparently rocking a stint of duck-duck-goose around her, not much more can be said.
But if that doesn’t impress, consider the fat man in a gimp mask or a dude promising to become ELECTRA GLIDE IN BLUE, and you’ll soon understand the level of weird this flick looks to have, and have in spades.
Co-written by Hatanaka and Tony T.L. Young (SCREENING ROOM, THE LAST EVE), VIOLENT BLUE stars Nick Mancuso, Andrea Harrison, Aneliese Roettger, Lina So, Shane Ryan, Silvia Suvadova, DeeDee Bigelow, Reila Aphrodite, Howard Fong, Jessie Hlubik, Barry O’Rourke, and Kai Lanette.
VIOLENT BLUE looks to hit theaters by mid 2010.
