When I went to film school at
Montmorency College here in Montreal eons ago, I was scolded by my teachers
for directing a “slasher short” as my thesis and writing an action screenplay
for my final screenwriting project. Needless to say, French film school and I
didn’t get along too well. With that said a couple of alumnis’ from my old
school are having a show and I thought I’d support their asses. Here’s the
dealio:
A slew of renegade short films will be screening in Montreal this
Saturday on the October 1st. I’m talking six short films that go from
experimental to gore. Pat Tremblay’s (who has done covers for bands like
Necrophagia and Ghoulunatics) short “Ritualis” along with the oddball
“Pandora’s Paradox” by Matthew Saliba are part of the short films
featured. The screening will be followed by a display of live painting
from local artists.
So there you have it; you in the area? Support the future of Canuck horror
filmmaking and see their show!
