Waiting to see Mike Flanagan’s Before I Wake? Canada’s got you covered

If you're a fan of Mike Flanagan, this wasa great year for you. The director took hold of Netflix with his chilling HUSH and redeemed a lackluster franchise with OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL. But there was that one snag. His dreamy flick BEFORE I WAKE was supposed to come out on September 9th, but it was pushed indefinitely from the schedule by THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM, which lived up to its name.

If you're frustrated by the lack of word on BEFORE I WAKE's suspended release, don't worry. Mike Flanagan agrees with you. In a recent Facebook post, he informed fans that instead of waiting for Relativity to squeeze out a release, they can pick up a Canadian copy of the film on Blu-Ray starting January 10, 2017 and have it delivered to America. The format still works in our region.

It's interesting to see that even the director seems to have given up hope on the movie hitting U.S. theaters in a timely fashion. But that's good news for people tired of waiting for a horizon that might never come.

In BEFORE I WAKE:

Jessie and Mark decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody.  Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody's dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody's imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody's nightmares.
