Dario Argento fans take note. You’re about to get your THIRD MOTHER. That’s right amigos, Dario Argento let slip to Fangoria recently that scribe team Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson will write the final chapter in the THREE MOTHERS trilogy that began with SUSPIRIA and INFERNO.
Gierasch and Anderson have been busy of late churning out scripts for Tobe Hooper (THE TOOLBOX MURDERS, CROCODILE and MORTUARY). Now they get to complete Argento’s most famous work. These two are either sprinkled with fairy dust or made a deal with the man in the red suit. I suppose it could just be their talent, but that’s no fun to talk about.
According to Fango, Argento is looking to stateside talent to complete the project because he wants a better chance of reaching the US marketplace. That’s kind of a double edged sword, since the US market likes things to be direct and obvious, while Argento’s work tends to be anything but. Nevertheless, I’m so psyched the film is in play at all that I’m gonna sweep all potential worries under the rug for now.
