As the release of LES MISERABLES approaches, I am getting more and more interested in seeing it. With the release of this video, I am more impressed than before with the look and sound of the film. Tom Hooper really seems to have hit a home run by choosing to have the actors sing live versus a pre-recorded lip sync.

The clip comes courtesy of La Sexta.com which accounts for the subtitles, but was shared by Reddit users like crazy.

The song, “One Day More”, is sung by the majority of the main cast and gives us our first look at a complete scene from LES MISERABLES. Check it out.

Impressed? At first, Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried sounded a little off to me, but as Russell Crowe and Samantha Barks joined it, the song got better and better. Also, the appearance of Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter was a nice surprise. We have not seen much of them in any clips so far.

I am not a big musical fan but I am open to having my mind changed and LES MISERABLES may just be the movie to do it.

LES MISERABLES opens everywhere on Christmas Day.
