Watch the Korean war from The Front Line (trailer)

JoBloJoBlo

It’s been a little while since we had a great modern warfare film, hasn’t it? Maybe THE FRONT LINE will fit the bill.

The film is based on the true story of “Alligator Company”, a South Korean unit who survived the singular worst battle of the Korean war. This was right at the end of the war and these guys were fighting a battle that would determine the new border between the two new nations. Pointless? Possibly, but they fought fiercely over the Aerok Hills for months, with each side capturing it multiple times.

THE FRONT LINE is directed by Jang Hun (of SECRET REUNION and the brutal ROUGH CUT) and stars Shin Ha-kyun, Ko Soo and Kim Ok-vin. It hits theaters in a limited release on January 20th, and really, if you’re going to planning on seeing this, it looks like a theater would be the place to do it.
