For whatever reason, Robin Hood has become a very hot property. Movies featuring the legendary archer are already in the works at Sony, Disney and Lionsgate, and now Deadline has learned that Warner Bros. is also developing a Robin Hood flick. Details on WB's Robin Hood are being kept under wraps, but Will Beall (AQUAMAN, GANGSTER SQUAD) wrote the script, and Dan Lin (THE LEGO MOVIE, SHERLOCK HOLMES) and John Zaozirny are attached to the project as producers.

The tone of Sony's take (titled HOOD) will reportedly be in the vein of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and the recent FAST & FURIOUS movies, while Disney's has been described as PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN-esque. Guy Ritchie will direct Lionsgate's grittier take ROBIN HOOD: ORIGINS from a script by AWAKE scribe Joby Harold. Oh, and Dreamworks is also doing a re-imagined version centered around Robin Hood supporting characters like Little John and Friar Tuck.

You know how some people like to complain about how Hollywood has run out of ideas? It's because of stuff like this. There just isn't a need for five new Robin Hood-themed movies, regardless of how they will be presented on the big screen. Which version are you the most interested to see?
