“Weird Al” Yankovic to get star on Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It's crazy how long "Weird Al" Yankovic has been in show-biz (hint: almost four decades), especially considering how schticky his act must look from an outsider's perspective. Spoofing songs for a whole career? How weir — absurd! But Weird Al makes it work, and is honestly super hilarious. I've been a fan of his work since I was a kid (even seeing him in concert); hell, every time I hear "American Pie" at restaurants or something, I keep waiting for Don McLean to sing "My, my this here Anakin Guy", and am always disappointed when he doesn't.

Anyway I'm happy to announce that my man Al is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Here's him freaking out about it on Twitter:

You've definitely earned it Mr. Weird, if only for your SPACE GHOST: COAST TO COAST guest appearance alone.

So what's your guys' favorite Weird Al song, Schmoes? I'm partial to "Angry White Boy Polka", but "Albuquerque" is also a classic as well.
