I’m sure you guys are familiar by now with Mr. Marcus Dunstan. If not, here’s a fast reminder: He’s the dude who co-wrote the FEAST trilogy as well as SAW’s IV through VI. And now, the dude’s getting into directing. His rookie outing behind the camera will be for the little spine-tingler, THE COLLECTOR. We actually made mention of this flick a long time ago when it used to be called MIDNIGHT MAN. Anyways, it actually sounds pretty damn cool, regardless of the title and now its official website is up and running. Click right here to check it out.
Up top and below, I’ve posted some weird images from the flick. I’m definitely digging the odd little vibe this COLLECTOR is sending out. Seeing strange shit in jars is always a good for making the skin crawl. Now, take a peak at the neat plot:
Desperate to repay his debt to his ex-wife, an ex-con plots a heist at his new employer’s country home, unaware that a second criminal has also targeted the property, and rigged it with a series of deadly traps.
Seeing as how Dunstan’s main niche is writing, I believe this flick will be pretty interesting and not just some pointless crap. And yes, he did write THE COLLECTOR along with his co-writing cohort, Patrick Melton. The cast features Andrea Roth, Madeline Zima, Daniella Alonso, Robert Wisdom, Haley Pullos, and Josh Stewart. It wants to release some time this year.
