Beyond his intricately composed shots and resplendent sets, you can always count on Wes Anderson to deliver a fantastic cast, and his upcoming new movie will be no exception. THR has reported that Bryan Cranston, Hope Davis, Jeffrey Wright, and Liev Schreiber have all joined the star-studded cast of Wes Anderson’s new movie. Damn!

Plot details for Wes Anderson’s new movie are naturally being kept under wraps, but the film will also feature the talents of Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie, Rupert Friend, Scarlett Johansson, and Tom Hanks. THR has previously indicated that “the cast for this one is larger than most other Anderson films that are ensemble in nature.” The project, which has been written and directed by Wes Anderson, is currently shooting in Spain and is expected to wrap production next month.

Bryan Cranston previously voiced a character in Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, but this will be his first time making an in-person appearance in one of the director’s movies. Both Jeffrey Wright and Liev Schreiber will both be seen in Anderson’s upcoming The French Dispatch, with Scheiber also having voiced a character in Isle of Dogs. As for Hope Davis, she’s a Wes Anderson newbie but was most recently seen starring alongside Bryan Cranston in the Showtime series Your Honor. Scheiber recently wrapped shooting the Ray Donovan movie and Jeffrey Wright has several large projects on deck, including No Time to Die and The Batman. He is also voicing The Watcher in Marvel’s animated series What If…? on Disney+. Wes Anderson’s other new movie, The French Dispatch, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month and will be released in theaters on October 22, 2021. The film has been described as “a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city.”
