Well folks we just got finished showing you the first one-sheet for Wes Craven’s upcoming slasher flick MY SOUL TO TAKE and here I am today with even more news for you!

You guys remember when this little diddy scored an October 29th release date? We were wondering what the hell was wrong with Rogue Pictures and Universal for opening MY SOUL TO TAKE the same day SAW 3D hits theaters. Personally I’d much rather check out Craven’s latest work rather than SAW but I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority there. Worry not though Craven fans, it seems Rogue and Universal have smartened up and have opted to release MY SOUL TO TAKE a few weeks earlier! According to Box Office Mojo the flick now sits comfortably at October 8th! Nice, we can work with that.

In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.

Adam “Bug” Heller was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest…until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.

The film stars Max Thieriot, John Magaro, Paulina Olszynski, Zena Grey, Nick Lashaway, and Emily Meade (below). So mark it on your calenders folks: MY SOUL TO TAKE is now coming at us, in the dreaded converted 3D, on October 8th!
