Wesley Snipes is back with unfortunately named martial arts comedy Master Daddy

JoBloJoBlo

Since no one saw BROOKLYN’S FINEST, I’m declaring this news the official return of Wesley Snipes, and guess what? He’s doing martial arts again.

Snipes is set to start in MASTER DADDY, an action comedy he describes as KUNG FU HUSTLE meets MEET THE PARENTS. Um, highly questionable, but when you check out this promised roster of cameos you might change your tune a little bit.

Chuck Norris, Chiba, Frazier, Gracie, Hung, Inosanto, Jaa, Rhee, Kim, Lee Mosely, Bob Wall, Rampage, Anderson Silva and Ron Van Cleff will all make appereances. Musicians Rock Steady, Jabbawakkies and Quest Crew will also perform. I assume that Jaa means Tony Jaa, even though last I heard he was off being a monk, having retired from acting.

MASTER DADDY sounds like some kind of bondage film to me, but when I interpret it as a comedy, I keep thinking of Vin Diesel’s THE PACIFIER or Jackie Chan’s THE SPY NEXT DOOR, none of which inspire a large amount of confidence.

But comedy or no, and with that cast, hopefully this will feature some awesome ass kicking, regardless of whether or not the comedy aspect falls flat. I’ll look forward to hearing more about it soon.
