Director Peter Jackson returns to Middle Earth yet again with THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, the second part of his trilogy to J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved novel (and appendices). After a somewhat lukewarm reception to the first chapter, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY, the second chapter seems to promise a darker tone with a heavier dose of action and of course, the reveal of the dragon himself, Smaug (as voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch). We've posted our reviews from JimmyO and Chris Bumbray, as well as a wide array of posters, trailers, TV spots, production blogs, and even a music video for the film, so if you're still not caught up on all things Hobbit, then take a peek.

Now that you've had another visit to Middle Earth, let's here what YOU thought of the film! POST YOUR OWN REVIEW in our strike back section below (or to your Movie Fan Central profile) and we'll continue to update the Rotten Tomatoes and MFC reviews over the next few days as well.

Rotten Tomatoes: 137 reviews, avg score: 74%
