And action!
HBO wastes no time in teasing fans on the upcoming season of their hit comedy/drama series The White Lotus. The show has recently secured the majority of its cast and now the network is announcing that season 4 has officially started filming on the French Riviera. The season will film in Cannes, St. Tropez, and Monaco. Filming will also take place in Paris, though the story will remain along the Côte d’Azur. You can also get a preview of the scenic locale with the newly released picture.
The official logline reads,
“The fourth season will follow a new group of White Lotus hotel guests and employees over the span of a week, taking place during the Cannes Film Festival.”
Checking in for the next season will be a cast that stars Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, and Laura Smet.
The hotels featured this season include the Airelles Château de la Messardière as the White Lotus du Cap, and the Hôtel Martinez as the White Lotus Cannes. The series is created, written, and directed by Mike White; executive produced by White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine.

France bound
From Hawaii to Sicily to Thailand, each season of HBO’s The White Lotus has transported viewers to a new destination. It was reported months ago that The White Lotus season 4 will be bringing the anthology series to France. The production team has worked exclusively with the Four Seasons hotel chain to double as the fictional White Lotus hotels, although it also uses other hotels.
Each potential location would give audiences something different to the resorts they’ve seen in the first three seasons, which were all located on the beach. “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels,” teased creator Mike White earlier this year.
