Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters VR: Now Hiring releases new, fun teaser

Last Updated on November 17, 2025

I have high hopes for VR. While right now it seems to be a bit of a novelty (with some notable exceptions), I think this is the closest we've been to actually making VR a viable, consumer product. And next stop, HOLODECK!

…anyway. A new VR game GHOSTBUSTERS VR: NOW HIRING is coming out, where you get to play as a newly hired Ghostbuster. This is similar to the plot of the other GHOSTBUSTERS game that came out a few years ago (that had all the original 1984 cast members reprise their roles), but this time you get to see it in VR. Here’s a teaser that shows off some gameplay footage:

I'm not sure this takes VR out of the "novelty" category, but at least it looks fun. I mean, who hasn’t wanted to be a Ghostbuster before? Besides, of course, people with a phobia of ghosts…

Either way, GHOSTBUSTERS VR: NOW HIRING will release the first installment FIREHOUSE later this year.
