Here at AITH we pride ourselves on bringing you all the hot genre news as we hear it! But that doesn’t mean we can’t slip in a little action news here and there, especially when it’s about THE EXPENDABLES! Actually more like the lack of an ‘Expendable.’
It’s no secret writer/director/star Sylvester Stallone was calling in some favors while casting his epic action film. It’s also no secret that a couple of big name action stars slapped Stallone with a big fat No! The two most notable names being Kurt Russel and Jean-Claude Van Damme. I’m here to talk about the latter. The Muscles from Brussels recently talked about exactly why he turned down the role that eventually went to Dolph Lundgren. Initially we were told it was because Van Damme wanted to concentrate on more of an ‘acting’ career rather than a ‘kicking people on camera’ career. Well that is exactly the reason but Van Damme puts it a little differently… He wanted a ‘character’ while Stallone just wanted Van Damme to BOOM BOOM BOOM and make lots of money in the process.. Well according to JCVD.
