Novels, comic books, graphic novels… they’re all sources of movies from time to time. And now it looks like we can add Online Graphic Novel to the list as well, as Do-Over Productions has optioned the serialized online graphic novel WIDE AWAKE for the big screen.

I must be WAY out of the loop on this because I ain’t never heard of WIDE AWAKE before, but now that I have… well, hell, I think it might prove to be a pretty cool movie. WIDE AWAKE was created and co-written by Eric Trautmann and Brandon Jerwa with art by Mirco Pierfederici, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, David Messina. Jarrod Feliciano, and Mirjana Novkovic will produce and write the film adaptation.

But what is WIDE AWAKE all about? In a nutshell, WIDE AWAKE tells the crazy story of a young woman who dreams of terrifying monsters. It’s SO crazy! If you’re looking for more than that, you should head over THIS WAY and check out the WIDE AWAKE Official Website, and scoop up Chapter Zero. It’s an entertaining little jig, and yeah… the young woman in question is totally hot. For a cartoon.

Stick around for more updates regarding WIDE AWAKE as it breaks!
