Wii does RE

The dudes at HorrorMovies.ca scored some fresh info on Capcom’s next entry into the RESIDENT EVIL franchise, and it ain’t RESIDENT EVIL 5.

The game is called RESIDENT EVIL: UMBRELLA CHRONICLES, and is being developed for Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Nintendo Wii. RE:UC will focus on untold events spanning the entire RE series and delve deeper into stories that have already been told. The main goal of UC is to tie the rest of the series into what went down in RESIDENT EVIL 4, and the upcoming RE5.

The new game will feature RE4’s third person gameplay, but unlike the action-fest that the former was, UC will focus less on the balls-to-the-wall action, and more on the creepiness that was in the first games in the series. No word on when the game is expected to drop (rumours state the game is expected late 2007), and only one screenshot has been released for the game, which you can find here.
