Will Green Lantern kill Deadpool?

JoBloJoBlo

The long-running Marvel vs. DC rivalry is spilling out onto the streets of Hollywood, and has created a side skirmish in the form of Fox vs. Warner Bros.

As we know, Ryan Reynolds has been cast as both Deadpool and Green Lantern, to star in two separate films that were supposed to be shot and released pretty close together. But Warner Bros. thinks they have an upper hand by getting GL out first, and have followed up by announcing that they want to fast track a sequel, and possibly make the entire thing a trilogy.

Well Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld sees what’s going on, and according to his tweets, he’s none too pleased with Fox about it.

Warner Bros. just trying to protect their investment. They don’t want Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool AND Green Lantern. Interesting 2 watch

Bottom line about Deadpool film is that if FOX doesn’t pull the DP film together with Ryan Reynolds between GL films-they should Hari Kari Ryan

Reynolds is the new Will Smith, if FOX can’t maximize this window of opportunity with this star, this character, that script=MASSV FAIL

Fox is said to be talking to Robert Rodriguez to direct, but with GL shooting wrapped, they better get on this shit pronto, or risk losing Reynolds entirely. And I, for one, think he is much better suited as the loudmouth Deadpool than Lantern in the first place.

What do you make of all this?
