When I sat down to look at the upcoming year in horror and what movies I was most looking forward to checking out, I so dearly wanted to put RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE on the list. Too bad for me it’s original release date of September 24, 2010, was scrapped for January 2011. Well, it looks as though AFTERLIFE might be changing it’s date back to September 2010 after all.
According to STYD, AFTERLIFE has gone back to its original release month of September 2010, but has moved up its release date to September 10! If that ends up being the official release date, how effin’ cool will that be???
The reason for the switch in the first place was the visual effects and 3-D transformation was going to take more time than expected, thus pushing the film back to January. If the reports are true, then director Paul WS Anderson got lucky and things are going smoother than expected, making the September release month possible. All I gotta say about that shit is awesome, as I didn’t want to wait until January to check this sucker out!
Of course, this is just heresay at the moment, and not official, so take it with a grain of salt until the date is confirmed, and don’t go planning your September around it just yet.
