Willis, Weaver and Cavill to see the Cold Light of Day

JoBloJoBlo

JCVD director Mabrouk El Mechri has landed himself a pretty impressive cast for his kidnap thriller, THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY. It was announced a few days ago that Cavill would star, but now the film has the two big guns of Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver onboard.

The plot? From Heat Vision:

The story centers on a cocky young Wall Street trader who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel his father’s darkest secret in order to save his loved ones.

Alright, so I’ll assume that Weaver and Willis will be the father and mother, but I suppose either one could be bad guys if the film wanted to mix it up a bit. I’d love to see either in a villainous role in a movie like this, and I have a hard time that anyone could kidnap Bruce Willis without getting their ass handed to them.

In any case, this certainly has now become a project to watch, and yes, I did avoid describing this as “TAKEN with a family.” Just because a movie is about kidnapping does not mean it’s TAKEN.
