The Willow TV series on the Disney+ streaming service is now more than halfway through the eight episode run of its first season, and to mark the occasion the show’s official Twitter account has unveiled ten character posters! You can check them out at the bottom of this article.

A follow-up to the 1988 film of the same title (watch it HERE), Willow has the following synopsis: An epic period fantasy series with a modern sensibility set in an enchanted land of breathtaking beauty, “Willow” features a diverse international cast with Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan serving as executive producers. The story began with an aspiring magician from a Nelwyn village and an infant girl destined to unite the realms, who together helped destroy an evil queen and banish the forces of darkness. Now, in a magical world where brownies, sorcerers, trolls, and other mystical creatures flourish, the adventure continues, as an unlikely group of heroes set off on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world.

Warwick Davis reprises the role of Willow Ufgood, and is joined in the cast by Ruby Cruz, Ellie Bamber, Erin Kellyman, Amer Chadha-Patel, Talisa Garcia, Dempsey Bryk, Tony Revolori, Joanne Whalley, Daniel Naprous, Joonas Suotamo, Vitas Le Bas, Ralph Ineson, Talisa Garcia, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, Kevin Pollak, Hannah Waddingham, and Caoimhe Farren.

The characters featured in the posters below are Willow (Davis), Kit (Cruz), Jade (Kellyman), Graydon (Revolori), Elora (Bamber), Sorsha (Whalley), Boorman (Chadha-Patel), The Doom (Naprous), The Dag (Claudia Hughes), The Scourge (Suotamo), and The Lich (Le Bas).

I haven’t watched any of the Willow show yet, because I’m waiting for all of the episodes to be released so I can binge it instead of waiting to watch one episode per week. But as someone who spent hours and hours looking through the Willow sticker album when I was a child, it was nice to see these character posters and discover that Willow imagery is still very appealing to me.
