Maybe one of the oddest casting choices in recent memory, Wilmer Valderrama (Fez from THAT ‘7Os SHOW) has been cast to star in the title roll of the comic book adaption of Javier Hernandez’s EL MUERTO.

Production just starting on the flick about an Aztec zombie brought back from the dead to battle injustice, described as “The Crow meets Desperado meets Spawn” . Wilmer is excited as hell to talk about it, check out what he had to say to Now Playing Magazine about the project:

“It’s presented in such an odd, hardcore, rad way. It’s very Robert Rodriguez. It’s very, very hard. It’s a beautiful story told through the eyes of this young guy who’s sacrificed in the name of the Aztec gods and he comes back to be a weapon for them. And he rebels against them and asks all these questions about religion.”

Can’t say that I can even imagine Fez in any roll other than Fez (the fact that he bagged Lindsay Lohan was a mind blower in and of itself), but he seems passionate about the project so far, and sometimes that’s all it takes. Stay tuned for more info. on EL MUERTO, and click HERE to check out the rest of what he had to say.
