Guardians of the Night Emilis Velyvis

Director Emilis Velyvis's GUARDIANS OF THE NIGHT will be opening in its native Russia on August 25th, and here's hoping that international release news will be following soon, because this movie looks to be creature feature fun on a blockbuster level.

Scripted by Oleg Malovichko, the film is set in contemporary Moscow and tells the following story:

When eighteen-year-old Pasha rescues a beautiful young woman from a band of strangely powerful attackers, he discovers an underworld of supernatural beings living among us.

Things get kind of MEN IN BLACK (as the film acknowledges) from there, as Pasha is "recruited by an organization tasked with keeping these beings under control."

The Russian trailer for GUARDIANS OF THE NIGHT can be seen below with English subtitles. Check it out and join me in hoping that this movie will travel beyond Russian borders before long.
