Wolf superhero

I just got wind of a brand new lychanthropic-centric flick that is currently filming and I gotta say it sounds outstanding. Check this: It’s being described as a sort of superhero/horror hybrid a la HELLBOY (and yes, I can’t wait for THE GOLDEN ARMY this Friday). Back to business. This new flick is called WOLVESBAYNE and the plot, which will be an origin-type story, goes like this:

A heroic werewolf (played by Jeremy London, THE BABYSITTER) must save the world from a Nazi sword-wielding vampire cult leader (played by Marc Dacascos, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF) and his vampish cohort (Yancy Butler, WITCHBLADE, HARD TARGET).

If done right, this bad boy sounds like a blast. Plus, I’m told that the make-up work in the flick, being handled by Drac Studios, is quite bad ass, featuring both HOWLING-type werewolves and those of the semi-humanoid type like the preliminary artwork shown above.

WOLVESBAYNE will be coming to us from Bullet Films and is directed Griff Furst. It also stars Christy Carlson Romano (below) and Rhett Giles. No word yet on a release date, but I will be keeping my eyes open.
