Wonder Girl, The CW, TV

It was announced last November that The CW was developing a Wonder Girl TV series that would join the ranks of Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, and Superman & Lois, but for those of you looking forward to the project, I've got some bad news.

Dailyn Rodriguez (Queen of the South) was heading up the project, but she took to Twitter earlier today to announce that The CW has decided to pass on the series.

Rodriguez was also slated to executive produce the Wonder Girl series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, which would have followed Yara Flor, "a Latina Dreamer who was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God, learns that she is Wonder Girl, and with her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world." Had the series would have moved forward, it would have marked the first Latina superhero title character of a DC TV series. As it stands now, the next new Arrowverse series on The CW will be Superman & Lois, which will debut on February 23rd.
