Can I hear a Hallelujah! reports today that James Wong, director of FINAL DESTINATION, is back to direct FINAL DESTINATION 3!

Not that I didn’t like FINAL DESTINATION 2, with plenty of blood and guts, and extremely creative ways of killing people… the only problem was, I was hoping the people would die (i.e., I just didn’t care about them. Although I did hate to see hottie Ali Larter go, but her barbequed corpse was pretty sweet).

That’s where the first movie had a one up- we actually cared if the charactors lived or died (well, some of them), making their deaths that more horrific.

So how do you beat a plane crash, and a highway pile-up for extreme carnage, and high body count? Round 3, by writers of the first movie, Wong and Glen Morgan, has the young high school protagonist Wendy envisioning a crashing and killing her schoolmates… only to stop it from happening, and racing against time to save them all from the Grim Reaper.

Let’s see… riding in planes has never been the same, and I can’t see a logger truck on the road without thinking the chain’s going to snap and the logs are going to be bouncing down the freeway… now, as if roller coasters weren’t scary enough, the thought of them flying off the tracks is gonna stick with me for the rest of my life. Good Shit! Least to say this fan is extremely excited for the third installment, which will be shooting in Vancouver shortly.
