But Disney’s 2012 feature — the live-action directing debut of Pixar’s Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E) — was exorbitantly expensive, mishandled its marketing, and ultimately proved to be one of history’s biggest box office failures posting an over $200 million loss.
