X-Files 3 coming?

Another X-FILES movies? Where can I sign up? Although I WANT TO BELIEVE may not have been the glorious cinematic return of our favorite supernatural seeking FBI agents, it wasn’t bad and proved there is still a fanbase for the film, which took in more than $60M at the box office. Not bad for a flick that was essentially a made-for-TV movie.

Gillian Anderson chatted it up with Dnevnik.hr the other day at the Sarajevo Film Festival about possibly returning to reprise her role as Agent Scully. Here’s what she had to say on the subject (when asked about it, of course): Of course I would accept to play in a new (third) “X-Files” movie.

So what the hell does that mean? Nothing. Pipe dreams of an actress who is most famous for her role in the series and would undoubtedly return if asked. But then the article drops this line: The third movie, according to her, is in early stages and should be filmed by 2012.

Now that, that’s something new to talk about! Early stages? Filming in 2012? Could this be true? Sure… and why not? Nothing mopre into what we could expect from this supposed third X-FILES film, but we shall keep ya in the loop as we hear it.
