It seems like we’ve been talking about Xavier Gens’ latest dive into violence THE DIVIDE for a long-ass time now. Oh wait… that’s because we have! Well over a year to be exact… Thankfully the flick is finally scoring a release this January. But how in the world are we expected to wait until then?

We’ve waited this long, right? Perhaps some new stills from the flick might curb your DIVIDE hunger?? That’s the ticket! If you scroll below you’ll find several new shots from the film, some pretty exciting… some not-so-much. Just scroll away for a look at the goods and enjoy!

Nine strangers—all tenants of a New York high-rise apartment—escape a nuclear attack by hiding out in the building’s bunker-like basement. Trapped for days underground with no hope for rescue, and only unspeakable horrors awaiting them on the other side of the bunker door, the group begins to descend into madness, each turning on one another with physical and psycho-sexual torment. As supplies dwindle, and tensions flare, they grow increasingly unhinged by their close quarters and hopelessness. Each act against one another becomes more depraved than the next. While everyone in the bunker allows themselves to be overcome by desperation and lose their humanity, one survivor holds onto a thin chance for escape, even with no promise of salvation on the outside.

Starring Lauren German (below), Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Courtney B. Vance, Ashton Holmes and Rosanna Arquette, THE DIVIDE is set to hit theaters on January 13, 2012 but not before dropping in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Denver on January 9th.
