Yoram Globus to help bring Darren Lynn Bousman’s Tension to the screen

Saw III Darren Lynn BousmanForty years ago, Yoram Globus teamed with his cousin Menaham Golan to acquire Cannon Films, and for a glorious period of time their version of Cannon was bringing us awesome movies like the DEATH WISH sequels, THE DELTA FORCE, BLOODSPORT, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2, among many others. Things fell apart at Cannon in the '90s and Golan passed away in 2014, but Globus has now secured a $50 million financing deal for a new production venture called Rebel Way Entertainment.

The first film coming to us from Rebel Way will be Darren Lynn Bousman's TENSION, a thriller scripted by Bousman's MOTHER'S DAY collaborator Scott Milam.

An adaptation of Bousman's "live theater immersive adventure" The Tension Experience, TENSION will follow

a group of four friends participating in an extreme immersive horror experience on Halloween, as what was supposed to be a twisted game of manipulation turns to a horrific night of terror.

Yoram's son Ori Globus will be producing the film.

TENSION is expected to go into production sometime next year. While we wait to hear more details on this project, the latest SAW movie to be directed by Bousman (his fourth film in the series) is set to reach theatres on May 15, 2020.
