You’ll definitely want to stay out of the woods after The Ritual trailer

When it comes to horror movies, the woods are never a safe place. If it's not ancient demons, inbred cannibals, or machete wielding maniacs, it's the people you're with turning against you. Simply put, it's not a good idea. Based upon Adam Nevill's novel of the same name, THE RITUAL finds four old friends from university reuniting after the tragic death of their best mate. While hiking through the Scandinavian wilderness, a wrong turn leads them into the dark and mysterious forests of Norse legend, where an ancient evil still exists and stalks them at every turn. The trailer for the upcoming Netflix film is certainly spooky, with a slow-burn quality which I always love in a horror movie. Directed by David Bruckner (V/H/S), THE RITUAL stars Rafe Spall (PROMETHEUS), Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey), Arsher Ali (The Missing), and Sam Troughton (Robin Hood).

THE RITUAL will debut on Netflix on February 9, 2018.
