Chloe Moretz just can’t seem to break away from this genre, can she? Mind you I’m not complaining!
Word over at Variety today has the talented young actress in talks to play the titular role in Inferno Entertainment’s zombie flick MAGGIE, and yes, she would be playing a zombie. If you recall back in 2011 Timur Bekmambetov was all set to produce this thing before it mysteriously fell back to the drawing board. Now we’ve got Moretz (above) eying a starring role opposite Paddy Considine with Henry Hobson still tapped to direct a script by John Scott 3.
Maggie is a 16-year old girl from a town in middle America who becomes infected by a zombie. It will take six months for Maggie to turn, and the film tracks the transformation as she stays with her family.
So we get to watch this 16-year old’s transformation into an undead cannibal over the span of 6 months? Sounds like one hell of a time to me!
Set to start filming in September, Inferno Entertainment will finance and handle international sales for MAGGIE at Cannes. You know what that means right? More MAGGIE news should be coming our way very soon! And when that shite does we’ll be right here to tell you about it.
