Your last chance to see Superman: The Movie up on the big screen is nigh

Look up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Superman, and he's flying back into theaters for a special 40th anniversary event!

Check this out, fans of The Last Son of Krypton! Fathom Events is preparing to host one final chance to see Richard Donner's beloved 1978 big-screen adventure, SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE, starring Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel. This very special screening will take place on December 3rd at 7 p.m. (local time) on nearly 400 screens across the U.S. – the last of three days that fans have to see the movie that helped define an icon for the ages. Alongside the silver screen presentation of SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE, Fathom will also treat fans to a viewing of Max Fleischer's Superman cartoon "Mechanical Monsters" for its first big-screen presentation since 1941. Wow, so not only do you get to see Donner's classic superhero film starring Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Ned Beatty, Valerie Perrine, Glenn Ford, Jeff East, Phyllis Thaxter, Susannah York, and Terence Stamp, among others, you'll also hear John Williams' unforgettable score in booming surround sound. Add to that a screening of Fleischer's animated masterpiece and you've got one heck of an evening ahead of you.
