With zombies being so hot right now, NBC has decided to resurrect “Babylon Fields”, a drama about the undead that had once lived at the network in 2007 before getting shot in the head without airing once. According to Deadline, NBC has ordered a new pilot from the series’ original creators Michael Cuesta, Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson.

In “Babylon Fields”:

…the dead are rising in Babylon, NY, and as a result, lives are regained, old wounds are reopened and families are restored — for better or worse. The newly regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger than anyone else leading to the suspicion that they might be the next step in human evolution.

This is a plot similar to that of the popular French movie/TV series “The Returned”, which is currently being remade by A&E. ABC also has a series called “Resurrected” which also has the same premise.

Ray Stevenson, Kathy Baker and Amber Tamblyn all starred in the original “Babylon Fields” pilot, which can actually be watched in its entirety HERE.
