Dear Lord! I guess no one is safe from becoming the silly subject matter of an all-out nutso zombie movie/parody. And, of course, that’s just fine with me! The latest group to get the undead treatment? It’s the Mormons! Yes, my friends, prepare yourselves for THE BOOK OF ZOMBIE. Wait till you hear the synopsis for this one:
A small, sleepy Utah town gets an undead wake-up call when all of the townspeople of Mormon faith suddenly transform into flesh-eating ghouls!
Now, a group of “non-believers” unaffected by the mysterious epidemic must band together to survive the night and answer the burning question: How do you kill a Mormon zombie?
How f*cking wild is that?! And what a great spin on the whole stereotypical “join us” cultish vibe some people say the Mormons possess. You’ve gotta check out the surprisingly cool trailer for the flick below. There’s great goop, gore, and girls! And as an added bonus, it looks like BOOK takes place during Halloween! The flick was directed by Scott Kragelund, Paul Cranefield, and Erik Van Sant (who also wrote the script). Since it’s a super low-budget, the cast is comprised of unknowns.
