I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga. I've read all the books multiple times and of course seen Twilight. I loved the movie! The transformation of the wolves was excellent and it followed the book pretty much exactly. The movie did move slow at first, but it was also like that in the book. In the book, the explanations of the Quiluette storyline and the budding relationship between Bella and Jacob did move slow, so it didn't bother me too much. The actors who portrayed the Volturi were excellently creepy. However, Dakota Fanning as Jane did nothing for me. I think her manager must have paid the director pretty good just to get her a part in this film-she did not stand out at all and I think a no name actor would've been better. The ending was excellent which make you thirst for Eclipse in June 2010. Overall, I was extrememly satisfied, having seen both Twilight and the midnight showing of New Moon 11/19 and then seeing it again opening night 11/20. Kudos, will await for June for Eclipse!!

First of all I am NOT a twilight fan at all. never read the books and didnt enjoy the first one that much. However, the 2nd one (which i just saw today) was surprisingly very good. It had a better storyline (much more teen angst) and I really think the acting and cgi were improved from the original. overall it was better than the first and that is really all you can hope for at this point. not incredible but still a good film.

I have no desire to see this film, but everything I've read -- i.e. critic's reviews -- has been generally unkind. Most folks agree that it's a sloppy Lifetime-style movie and the acting borders on unwatchable, but the 16-year-old fangirls will inevitably love it.
