Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories

It's rare that a horror anthology sequel will directly acknowledge the events of its predecessor, but a newly released clip from VOLUMES OF BLOOD: HORROR STORIES shows this is one of those rare anthologies. In the clip, a young woman is watching a news report about the library bloodbath that occurred in the final segment of VOLUMES OF BLOOD (and a very fun bloodbath it was to watch in that movie). As you can understand, the woman seems to find this news report disturbing, but things get even worse for her in the final moments of the clip, when one of the movie's slasher characters shows up.

And I have to say, putting a glowing pumpkin in the background of the slasher's reveal shot was a great choice.

VOLUMES OF BLOOD: HORROR STORIES consists of seven segments from six different directors. The synopsis:

A couple plans to purchase an old home, but would like one last tour before the closing. They’re guided around the estate by a creepy realtor that may have more in store than they bargained for. Searching floor by floor, they begin to discover the remnants of its sordid and terrifying past… A popular 80’s franchise gets a modern upgrade, but at what price? On Halloween night a teen left home alone meets a trick or treator that wants more than just candy. A door to door insurance salesman makes a Thanksgiving house call with monstrous consequences. Andrew and Sara are happily married and plan on spending some quality time together, but something sinister has other plans for their evening. Carol’s Christmas Eve turns into a fight for survival when a vengeful stranger isn’t feeling the holiday spirit. Lastly, a birthday party turns bloody when some unexpected guests drop by at the wrong time. Seven interwoven tales of terror, how many stories does your house have?

The segments are: Murder Death Killer and Fear, For Sinners Here, both directed by Nathan Thomas Milliner; A Killer House, directed by James Treakle; Feeding Time, directed by John William Holt; Blood Bath, directed by Jon Maynard; Trick or Treat, directed by Sean Blevins; and The Deathday Party, directed by Justin Seaman.

HORROR STORIES' world premiere is set to happen one week from tomorrow, Saturday, October 29th, at the Owensboro Convention Center in Owensboro, Kentucky.
