Danny Trejo, Mickey Rourke and Anthony Michael Hall join Dead in Tombstone

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

How’s this for a cast: Danny Trejo, Anthony Michael Hall and Mickey Rourke. Would it be too much to ask right now for a visit to that set?!

The three actors are all lined up for DEAD IN TOMBSTONE, a supernatural horror flick just announced by Deadline.com. 1440 Productions is producing the movie, which sounds like a crazy caper indeed. Read on for the synopsis!

Trejo plays Guerrero Hernandez, leader of the Blackwater Gang of outlaws. But after freeing his half-brother, Red (Hall), from prison, Guerrero’s plan to loot the mining town of Edendale backfires spectacularly, when he is double crossed by his half-sibling. After making a deal with the Devil (Rourke), Guerrero comes back from the dead a year later to seek his revenge. The town, which has presciently been renamed Tombstone will soon have its dusty streets running knee-deep in a river of blood.

I don’t think I can picture Trejo and Hall as STEP brothers, let alone half brothers. Oh well, if that ends up being the most unbelievable aspect of this movie, I’ll be very surprised…

Roel Reine (DEATH RACE 2 and 3) is directing DEAD IN TOMBSTONE, from a script written by Shane Kuhn and Brendan Cowles. Universal Pictures will distribute.
