Stallone’s Rambo 5 starts shooting this September?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Looks like Stallone's John Rambo will be returning sooner than we thought as today we have word via Omega Underground that RAMBO 5 aka THE LAST BLOOD will be heading into production this September. The fifth film will see Mr. John Rambo helping out a neighboring rancher/friend whose daughter is

kidnapped by sex-traffickers who turn out to be members of a violent drug cartel and the older Rambo agrees to find/rescue her.

That brief synopsis has also been expanded on slightly, as now it seems

His brother seemingly runs the family ranch now and it’s unknown if his niece is also kidnapped, as it could make it a more personal story including his family members into the mix.

One way or the other, the film's upcoming production is said to be all set to kick off in Spain/Spanish Canary Islands. And on top of all that, it's been speculated that with such a quick production start date upon us – and given no other director has yet to be announced – it's getting more and more reasonable to assume that Stallone himself will be directing this new flick. Sweet!

At this moment in time there isn't currently a release date for this upcoming RAMBO sequel, but considering that Stallone also has THE EXPENDABLES 4 on the horizon we can, again, speculate that the film will be all set hit theaters by next summer or fall. Filming is expected to begin on September 1st.
