Béatrice Leterrier – wife of CLASH OF THE TITANS director Louis Leterrier – is currently working on her feature directorial debut called WRECKING BALL, a dramatic comedy starring the very lovely Eva Mendes (THE OTHER GUYS).
In an interview with French website ECRAN LARGE, hubby Louis spoke a little about Ms. Leterrier’s upcoming film and even provided a synopsis: “During the Christmas weekend at home, a family reunion will bring back the awful memories of a tragic event that occurred 20 years ago and shake up the family core. And in the middle of all the uproar and arguments is a 5-year-old girl who unwittingly holds the key to their fate and the final outcome.” Mendes is believed to be up for the role of a mother in the film, an uncommon (and likely more dramatic) part for the sexy actress to take on.
As for Béatrice, this is not her first go around behind the camera as she has directed a number of commercials and videos in Europe over the years. Louis’ parents are also entrenched in the biz, as his father also happens to be a director and his mother a costume designer. Watch out, Coppolas!
Apart from this, however, Mendes has been taking it somewhat easy. She was last seen most recently in the romantic drama LAST NIGHT, opposite Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington.
