PRECIOUS, the adaptation of the novel, Push, has already come out in limited release.

This film is garnering massive buzz from critics and viewers alike. It's said that the girl who plays Precious, Gabourey Sidibe, is disturbingly convincing in her role. Another actress that is getting a lot of attention for this film is Mariah Carey. Carey is the social worker, Ms. Weiss, that tries to intervene and make Precious see that she still has a promising future ahead of her. Her part might actually make the world forget about GLITTER.

The poster reflects Precious and the message from the movie, as well as it's praise. Even in black and white, her face demands that you look at her. It is a little busy but it works.

the movie looks alright, a good story and whatnot, iŽll probably end up seeing it, but one thin is bothering me about this whole article, when did mariah carey began being an actress? i wasnŽt aware that she ever was one :D

If your definition of being an actress means actually attempting to act then, no, she hasn't proved to be much of an actress. On the other hand, she's supposed to be WAY better in this movie. I don't know. lol Carey and acting just don't seem to go together.

I Hope I Am Wrong
No matter how many critics and people I know say this is turly amazing, I can't help but be skeptical. The original trailer (as in the first teaser) was such a complete train wreck that it destroyed any hope I had for it. Add to that with the god awful Tyler Perry produced, I cannot get excited for this.

Well Tyler Perry stamped his name on it after the film was made to help push it into theatres. Same goes for Oprah. Neither of them had anything to do with the actual production of the film.
