Alicia Silverstone rises from the dead for Vamps

Once the subject of an infinite amount of “What the hell happened to…?” conversations, Alicia Silverstone has popped back up on Hollywood’s radar as she’s set to star in the vampire romantic comedy (a term you really shouldn’t be surprised exists now), VAMPS.

The film is being helmed by Silverstone’s CLUELESS director, Amy Heckerling, so that’s probably a pretty key factor in her involvement. What exactly does a “vampire romantic comedy” consist of? And wait, you’re telling me TWILIGHT wasn’t one? That movie was hilarious!

“Vamps tells the modern-day tale of two female vampires who live it up in New York until love enters the picture, when each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.”

So Sex in the City…with vampires! Sure, whatever, why the f*ck not? VAMPS starts production this year, and looks to be released sometime before this whole vampire trend dies out.
