The Sentinels from the upcoming X-sequel, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST have been a thing of much discussion and debate. The massive robots built by Trask Industries have been a staple of the comics for decades and fans have been chomping at the bit to see these mutant killers on the big screen from the get go. With the plentiful batch of images and viral videos supplied thus far, we've gotten a good glimpse at the outer shell of these hulking metallic constructs, but now they have released our first look at the inside of the Sentinel with a blueprint image that outlines the various parts of the head.

Have a look:

An interesting piece of marketing for the film and keeps the focus on just how big a role the Sentinels will play in the final film. A lot of controversy over the size of the robots, but I think there maneuverability and lethality will be the big determining factor in how well they play on the big screen. If they're as epic and exciting as the trailer at Comic Con then there's little doubt that they will have a kick ass presence.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, directed by Bryan Singer, unleashes the Sentinels on May 23, 2014.

The only aspect I'd like from the cartoon to these sentinels is the deep intimidating voice.

I saw The Wolverine yesterday...liked the teaser a lot. Just one question...can someone please explain the f-ing timeline to me again. X-Men was set in the near future...Origins in the 80's, First Class in the 60's...The Wolverine was "some" years after X-Men 3...and the teaser at the end of The Wolverine was 2 years after the end of the events in that movie - how old are Professor X and Magneto????? Do they all have the anti-aging ability that Logan has????

I wonder if there is another version of Sentinel in the movie. Could the picture we've seen about a week ago be a prototype and Singer still have more tricks up his sleeves?

Am I the only one who doesn't feel right about the Sentinel design?

I remember Sentinels being bad-ass/holes but these look like 18' toys. Maybe they designed them like this to look friendly to humans, maybe their plastic-like design is a defense against Magneto's powers? But so far they don't seem too intimidating, and look too vulnerable to Gamma level mutants. Wolverine will have no problem taking down a few of these and Magneto can just throw a car at them. I guess we'll still have to wait and see, still pretty stoked though.

Also, X-M: The Last Stand

Also, X-M: The Last Stand isn't a masterpiece but I do prefer the sentinel in the danger room than this new one, so far...

I thought the same thing that they look kind of small. The one in the danger room head alone was as tall as a person because wolverine walked out behind it. Hopefully they are Just early versions and as the mutant danger level rises so will the sentinels

I haven't read s comic in 15 years, so excuse me if I'm stating the obvious, but is there anything to "trask" industries being juxtaposed to " stark" industries?
