The Sentinels from the upcoming X-sequel, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST have been a thing of much discussion and debate. The massive robots built by Trask Industries have been a staple of the comics for decades and fans have been chomping at the bit to see these mutant killers on the big screen from the get go. With the plentiful batch of images and viral videos supplied thus far, we've gotten a good glimpse at the outer shell of these hulking metallic constructs, but now they have released our first look at the inside of the Sentinel with a blueprint image that outlines the various parts of the head.

Have a look:

An interesting piece of marketing for the film and keeps the focus on just how big a role the Sentinels will play in the final film. A lot of controversy over the size of the robots, but I think there maneuverability and lethality will be the big determining factor in how well they play on the big screen. If they're as epic and exciting as the trailer at Comic Con then there's little doubt that they will have a kick ass presence.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, directed by Bryan Singer, unleashes the Sentinels on May 23, 2014.
